Professor Jane Standley, with the support of her Florida State University colleagues, successfully merged music and technology to create the Pacifier Activated Lullaby (PAL®), a device that uses the healing power of music to help premature babies learn to suck and feed.

This unconventional solution to a very big problem for premature babies is now available to hospital neo-natal units everywhere.
