Energy-Related Research Interests:

We have some interest in advanced insulation materials. These materials are mostly in low temperature applications (cryogenics), but there may be some suitable energy related applications such as in building insulation. Some of these materials may also be suitable for high temperature applications to minimize losses in energy generation and transport systems. We have experimental facilities that can perform high precision measurements on the thermal conductivity and diffusivity of such materials.
