Equipment and Infrastructure Enhancement Grant (EIEG)

The EIEG Website will be open to accept grant applications from September 7, 2009 to October 26, 2009 for the 9th EIEG competition so get your applications ready. For more updates please watch this space and future issues of the Office of Research Newsletter.

Welcome

The intentions of the Equipment and Infrastructure Enhancement Grant (EIEG) Program are to provide for FSU faculty and staff a mechanism to acquire equipment they cannot obtain through other internal and external funding channels. Also, the program hopes to increase collaborative research for the University across many disciplines. Faculty members from all disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals that, if awarded, would supplement other external funding.

A summary of EIEG winners from previous years are available for reference. Recipients of EIEG grants must submit a performance questionnaire within 18 months of getting an award and annually thereafter.

Applicants are invited to read the Frequently Asked Questions section of this site that contains useful information on how to create a successful proposal. Please note that effective February 2007 applications for equipment intended to be upgrades to computational hardware and software will not be considered.

Faculty that have applied for CRC grants will find the online submission process familiar but the EIEG online submission site and CRC online submission site are not related.
