A complete EIEG Proposal will consist of the following elements:

Proposal Transmittal FormPlease note that starting FY 2010 the FSURF is no longer funding this program. As such we are requiring applicants to complete a standard SRS Proposal Transmittal Form. IMPORTANT: Note that in addition to submitting the transmittal form electronically, a fully signed page 1 of the document must be received by this office prior to the final submission date. Please see the next page for delivery instructions.
AbstractThe abstract should be no longer than the form provided (single page).
Proposal DocumentThe Proposal (expected to typically be 7 pages or less) should contain separately titled sections on the following. Sections should be numbered to agree with the following questions:
  1. Describe the equipment or infrastructure enhancement to be funded and its cost, including a detailed quotation.
  2. Who would use this equipment and how would it be used to enhance the research capability of the applicant(s). Describe the University enhancement.
  3. Outline cross discipline and cross campus utilization. Identify other potential university users and beneficiaries. If there are to be multiple users, provide a statement about clear and equitable usage and access.
  4. Will this equipment/tool acquisition enhance the applicant's ability to obtain grants or contracts? Identify specifically the target grants or contracts that will be sought incorporating results from this equipment/ service. When will such applications be submitted?
  5. Why has this equipment/tool not been funded from other sources? Is this equipment/tool eligible for external matching funds? By whom? Has the applicant applied? Assess the probability of such funding.
  6. This program will not fund the cost of installation, operation, repairs, maintenance and replacement of this equipment/tool. Explain in detail how this will be funded.
  7. Is the supported project likely to contribute directly to a new tangible public benefit, beyond its research goals?
Current and Pending SupportUse the form for listing titles of currently funded research projects or pending funds applied for but not received, indicating by agency and at what monetary level. Use the second page to summarize prior FSU or FSURF awards, if any, indicating the outcome of each, including success or failure in attaining additional internal or external funding.

Biographical SketchUse the form to indicate the name, history of employment, publications, grants and awards (including FSU and FSURF awards), and other data immediately pertinent to the project FOR EACH INVESTIGATOR.
