Florida State University is one of the core partner universities associated with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)


Oak Ridge National Laboratory is managed by the University of Tennessee and Batelle. Florida State University, along with seven other institutions (Duke, Georgia Tech, NC State, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech), is a core university partner in the research and educational mission of ORNL. As a consequence, FSU faculty, postdoctoral fellows and students are in a unique position to take advantage of the facilities and collaborate with scientists and engineers in Oak Ridge. Some key areas of research at ORNL include:

ORNL has a variety of early career fellowship programs for recent Ph.D. graduates as well as other research programs for undergraduates, graduate students and recent Ph.D. graduates.

More information and assistance in exploring research collaborations and educational opportunities at ORNL- Associate VPR Ross Ellington wellington@admin.fsu.edu serves as FSU's representative on the Core University Liaison Committee and is available to provide more information as well as to facilitate the establishment of contacts with researchers at ORNL. In certain instances, the Office of Research will provide travel support for faculty to attend workshops, visit facilities or meet with researchers at ORNL.
