Marine and Coastal Research at FSU
Marine and Coastal Research at FSU embodies studies of the physical, chemical, and biological worlds coupled with the social and political influence in the area where the sea meets the shore, down to the abyssal plain in the deep ocean. It provides opportunities for exciting interdisciplinary work among researchers from ecology, oceanography, and law, to fields such as human health and business.
Florida State University has a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research and graduate education programs in marine-related research. Two catastrophic events brought that message home: Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the DeepWater Horizon oil spill in 2010. This site has been developed to showcase our work in coastal and marine environments and to provide a place where researchers within the FSU community can share their research expertise and develop partnerships to further their work. We hope that you find this site useful. If you have any suggestions or questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Research.
